Dear Trick or Treater
Sep. 11th, 2024 07:18 pmHello reader! I hope you have fun with my prompts I put in the tagset, but this should hopefully provide more jumping-off points and better clarification on my DNWs.
DNWs:
- Incest, including adopted and step-relations.
- Underage (under 18) sex - depiction or discussion.
- Rape - depiction or discussion.
- Explicit sex or references to off-screen sex.
- Graphic depictions of violence. Canon-typical violence is an exception, but dismemberment squicks me.
- Harming children 12 and under severely or permanently. Being scared, upset, or temporarily injured (scrapes, bruises) are fine.
- Harm to pet animals, unless the animal is rescued and safe by the end of the story.
- Cruelty to animals, clean deaths are OK but not generally wanted either.
- Crossovers w/ RPF or unrequested fandoms
- Unrequested ships. If I say a ship in a different part of my request, it's not unrequested. Background OC ships are generally OK.
- Sinking requested ships if you choose to write them platonic. (Don't have them say "I could only see you as a friend", etc.)
- Character death for requested characters. I may be okay with canon character deaths but if there are specific characters pointed out in my requests, I'd rather not read about them dying unless noted otherwise.
- AI-generated works.
Likes!!:
- Fluff/slice of life, especially for characters who don't get a lot of that in canon.
- Focus on canon friendships
- Missing scenes/little added details that weren't in canon (this is the worldbuilding exchange, after all!)
- Happy endings
- Hurt/Comfort, especially between friends and ships
- Physical affection (between friends and between romantic ships)
- Food-centric worldbuilding. Make me hungry for foods that don't exist (or that do!)
- Requested ships being awesome in battle together (or alternatively, how they stick up for each other in everyday situations)
- Shenanigans (prank wars, random in-character goofy situations, friendly banter, if superpowers are involved, messing around with superpowers)
- Cats. If you can include a cat and want to include a cat, please include a cat!
- Transformations and/or showing off abilities, for canons involving superhuman abilities. Mild body horror/focus on the transformation aspect is OK here but see previous DNWs about violence.
- Soap or bubblegum bubbles, especially gigantic ones. Works well when combined with shenanigans. This doesn't have to be realistic either.
- Crossovers between requested fandoms.
- Canon Divergence AUs (e.g. what-ifs)
- Treats! I am okay with treats of any kind, so long as it's not something going against my DNWs!
Specific Fandoms ahead.
Tron (Uprising and Movies)
Fandom-specific interests:
-Quorra experiencing the analog/human world
-Post-Legacy fallout in general
-Program and User interactions
-Similarities and differences between the human and digital worlds
-Worldbuilding of Program culture
-Beck/Paige's enemies to lovers arc we never got to see finished
-Tron/Yori finally getting some sweet time together after everything
-Tron and Beck's mentor-mentee situation, regardless of how messed up it can be
Bionicle - All Media Types
Fandom-specific interests:
-Gali and Takua/Takanuva's mind link. but also anything with them I am starved lol
-Literally anywhere you can fit in powers being affected by emotion but especially with a romantic bent
-LOVE IS CANON.
-Exploring what Hewkii/Macku looks like post-canon -- does Macku become a Toa? Does she stay a Matoran and Hewkii becomes a Turaga? Or do they both stay how they are and have an adorable height difference?
-Anything happy/fluffy, slice of life, post-canon, wherever you can fit it
-Including pets! I nominated but didn't end up requesting Takua & Pewku as a main ship, so if you *can* include Pewku it would be neat
-Matau/Nokama turned on its head somewhat, where Nokama is the one making advances
-Matau/Nokama during the Hordika arc or while they're Turaga
-Jaller/Hahli during the Inika arc or post-canon
-If possible, feel free to try writing something set in one of my existing AUs!
Marvel 616 (Ghost Rider)
Fandom-specific interests:
-Eli and Robbie's deal
-Johnny attempting to help Robbie with the deal despite being in an entirely different situation with Zarathos
-Robbie and Gabe's family dynamics, especially with the added complications of Eli
-Robbie's street racing, and how his Ghost Rider abilities affect it
-Robbie and Johnny interacting in general since we only saw glimpses of it
-Outsider perspectives trying to make sense of Robbie and Eli's situation
Minecraft: Story Mode
Fandom-specific interests:
-Male Jesse/Petra as a battle couple
-Petra's interactions with other characters, in general
-The messed up possibilities for a continuation of Xara and Romeo's arc (or alternately, a happier ending for them both)
-How the game treats Minecraft as the setting rather than using it as a portal fantasy world (looking at you, "A Minecraft Movie")
-Admin Powers and how they're used
-the Wither Sickness aesthetic, even if it's horrible and painful and the only reason I like it is because Petra let her barriers down as a result of it.
-Life while adventuring/post season 2
-Mutual Pining for M!Jesse/Petra
-Friends to Enemies to Lovers for Romeo/Xara
-Petra and Xara's similarities
-Xara somehow still having Admin powers (giving Romeo a small taste of his own medicine?)
Crossovers
Fandom-specific interests:
-GlaDOS and Mother Brain have intriguingly similar interests. Would they clash, or would they be able to get over themselves and forge a deadly alliance?
-Similarly, Samus and Chell. Both the 'girl-in-a-box' trope, both frighteningly competent explorers, but Samus is much more violent (though granted Chell's main weapon is designed for traversal). How would they get along? Would they explore together?
-Samus/Jango. Sure, it's a crackship, but I saw it once in a Nintendo Power magazine (not even kidding!) and if you think about it, Chozo and Mandalorian culture are quite compatible. I could see them being an interesting enemies-to-lovers ship or at the very least a Something. They are both bounty hunters -- maybe one got assigned the other as a target.
-Jaime Reyes and Robbie Reyes. Two very different young men -- from different universes -- with different worldviews. But they do happen to have the same name. Distant relatives? A chance friendship? How does Jaime deal with Robbie's black-and-white judgements?
Thank you for reading (and writing/drawing), I hope this sparked some ideas!!
